Job summary

Hudson Technologies is hiring a Production Associate – Refrigerant Separation in Champaign, IL and Atlanta, GA to support safe, efficient separation and recovery of refrigerants using proprietary systems. Reports to Separation Supervisor; full-time position.

You will operate separation systems, handle recovered cylinders, monitor process parameters via HMI, collect samples, and assist with maintenance while complying with EPA/DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with refrigerant handling or HVACR preferred.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and refrigerant types.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Strong attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerant separation systems per SOPs and safety protocols.
• Handle and process recovered refrigerant cylinders with proper labeling and documentation.
• Control system pressures, temperatures, and flow rates via HMI.
• Collect refrigerant samples and perform quality checks for purity.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Comply with EPA and DOT guidelines for refrigerant handling, storage, and transport.
• Accurately record data for production and environmental tracking.
• Maintain a safe, organized 5S workspace.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and continuous improvement goals.
