Weir ESCO in Newton, on site, seeks a Refractory Technician to maintain and repair ladles and vessels, reline AOD vessels with multi-component mixes, and prepare stopper rods. You will handle brick removal, re-bricking, overhead crane movement, and support continuous operation in a heavy industrial setting.

No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma; strong reading, writing, math and verbal skills are preferred.

• Maintain and repair ladles and vessels.
• Reline AOD vessels with multi-component mixes.
• Reline bottom pour ladles and transfer ladles.
• Move ladles, vessels and refractory materials with an overhead crane; assist in lean initiatives.
