Job summary

Par Pacific is seeking a Safety Technician to support HSSE performance at the refinery and uphold the Success is NO Accident safety philosophy. You will conduct field audits, review permits, JSAs, and hazard controls, and promote safe work practices across operations, maintenance, and contractor activities.

Responsibilities include safety training, orientation, documentation, and incident support. This role requires OSHA knowledge, field presence, and the ability to intervene when risks are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in refinery safety preferred.
• OSHA standards knowledge (29 CFR 1910/1926) and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide field safety support across refinery units and contractor areas.
• Verify permits, JSAs, and hazard controls.
• Conduct safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Maintain training and safety documentation and records.
• Support audit findings and drive corrective actions.
