Colonial Group in Oregon, OH, is seeking an Operations Leader to oversee daily refinery and rail logistics, supervise a small team, and ensure safe, compliant handling of bulk commodities. You will coordinate loading/unloading, plan staffing, and drive a strong safety culture across shifts.

Responsibilities include acting as Incident Commander during site emergencies, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring adherence to OSHA, FRA, DOT, and HAZMAT rules while developing team

Qualifikationen

• Two to four years of experience in rail, refinery, terminal, industrial logistics, or a related operational environment.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team of up to five employees.
• Strong proficiency with email, spreadsheets, electronic reporting, and operational systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and the ability to follow site, railroad, refinery, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate clearly, organize competing priorities, solve operational problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and meet applicable customer and site access requirements.

Aufgaben

• Lead daily refinery and industrial rail logistics, supervise up to five Team Members, and ensure safe, efficient movement of petroleum products, hazardous chemicals, and other bulk commodities between refinery operating units and railcars.
• Plan work assignments, adjust staffing and resources, and coordinate railcar switching, loading, unloading, and material flow to meet plant and customer requirements.
• Serve as the designated Incident Commander during site emergencies when the Operations Manager is off-site.
• Ensure all loading, unloading, and rail movement activities follow OSHA, FRA, DOT, and HAZMAT regulations.
• Train, coach, and support Team Members; implement and teach the company's S7 Delivery System; reinforce procedures, accountability, and teamwork.
