Job summary

CHS Inc. in McPherson, KS is seeking a Process Engineer to monitor and optimize refinery process units. You will review daily operations, track KPIs, and ensure safe, efficient production with strong attention to quality and customer service.

The role requires a BS in Chemical Engineering, 2+ years in oil refining, and proficiency with MS Office; SAP and process-simulation tools (HYSYS, PetroSIM, PROII) are a plus. Collaborative, hands-on problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering required.
2+ years of experience in Oil Refining Process or related field.
Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Review daily operation and track KPIs.
Review, approve, and walk down P&IDs, Isometrics, and PFD drawings.
Write, develop, and participate in MOC reviews, PSSRs, PHAs and PSM audits.
Track performance of heat and mass transfer equipment via field surveys and data evaluations.
Work with industry experts to track catalyst performance and report to stakeholders.
Foster open communication and ownership to identify performance and process improvements.
Perform other duties as needed.
