Job summary

HF Sinclair seeks an Operations Research Engineer in Dallas to advance refinery LP models and kinetic modeling. You will translate plant operations into robust LP representations, govern model standards, and collaborate with Process Engineering, Technical Services, Planning, Commercial, and Operations to improve decision making across planning and distribution.

We expect a minimum of 10 years in the energy industry, a Bachelor's degree, and preferably an MBA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years in energy industry preferred.
• MBA is preferred.
• Experience with AVEVA Unified Supply Chain (USC) planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains and optimizes refinery and distribution LP models.
• Leads model governance, documentation and data quality checks.
• Calibrates kinetic modeling equations and unit representations.
• Translates process behavior and constraints into LP formulations.
• Supports cross-functional teams to improve model fidelity and decision making.
