Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company’s Anacortes Refinery in Washington is seeking Refinery Operators to monitor, regulate, troubleshoot and safely operate complex process equipment, refining crude oil into fuels. The role requires willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime, with on-call responsibilities.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, TWIC eligibility, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• TWIC card: must currently hold or qualify to receive.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shift schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Willing to be on-call and meet call-out standards.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor units under control and keep product specifications and yields at maximum.
• Assist other unit operators in training and day-to-day operations.
• Start up and shut down units and operate safely during process upsets.
• Maintain knowledge of the physical plant and equipment.
