Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation's Lemont refinery is seeking an experienced Fixed Equipment Reliability Engineer to support the Reliability Department. This on-site role focuses on reliability of fixed assets such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers, and piping, coordinating with Inspection, Maintenance, Operations, Turnaround, and Capital Projects.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $104,000 to $140,000 and a comprehensive benefits package; deadline to apply is September 3,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of engineering experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Refinery/industrial experience preferred.
• familiarity with ASME/API codes.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the refinery reliability team.
• 3Perform incident investigations to identify root causes and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot pressure vessels, heat exchangers, bolted joints, etc.
• Collaborate with Inspection and Corrosion Engineers on reliability.
• Develop corrosion control documents and integrity operating windows.
• Perform fitness-for-service and remaining life calculations.
• Support turnaround planning and execution to hit reliability goals.
• Procurement of like-in-kind replacements for fixed equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Site-specific responsibilities may be added.
