Indiana University Health System's Refill Pharmacy Technician role supports providers and patients by handling prescription refill requests with accuracy and compliance to Indiana regulations. You will work closely with pharmacists, clinical staff, and pharmacies to maximize your technical knowledge and attention to detail.

This position offers a stable schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays. After an initial training period, partial remote work opportunities may be available based on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• Minimum of two years of pharmacy technician experience (retail preferred).
• Active Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to review and manage refill requests.
• Analyze refill requests for accuracy and completeness prior to pharmacist review.
• Enter and maintain prescription data in the pharmacy system.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and pharmacies to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure refill activities comply with regulations and patient safety standards.
• Prioritize workload to meet volume while maintaining accuracy.
• Support pharmacists and team in daily operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
