Job summary

Paragon Social Care is recruiting a Children's Support Worker to help children and young people in residential homes and community-based support in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. You will provide practical and emotional support, acting as a positive role model and promoting independence.

We welcome reliable, caring individuals, with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle; you must be available for 2–3 shifts per week and willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Providing safe, consistent and trauma-informed care.

  • Working closely with social workers, families and other professionals.

The Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll provide practical and emotional support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs within residential homes and community-based support packages.

You'll become a positive role model, helping young people feel safe, supported and encouraged while promoting independence and positive life choices.

Your role could include:

Essential Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people (paid or voluntary).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or an equivalent qualification.
