Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking compassionate and resilient Children’s Support Workers to join our team, delivering trauma-informed care to young people in local authority care. You will build trusting relationships, create positive daily routines, support education, meals, health and independence, and advocate for the voices of the children.

You’ll need patience, empathy and emotional resilience, a full UK driving licence with access to your own car, and flexibility for waking nights, weekends

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
  • Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience.
  • Flexibility to work waking nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Clear enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
  • A relevant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care) is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed, compassionate care.

  • Prepare meals and promote healthy lifestyles.
