Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL seeks a patient admissions coordinator for a full-time role with a 8AM–5PM schedule. The position offers remote work after an initial in-person training period of three weeks at the Tampa, FL office.

You will communicate with clinical staff, update patient records, and coordinate admissions and scheduling. The role requires healthcare experience, EMR familiarity, and strong English communication skills; MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record.
• Ability to complete Hospice of the Comforter Orientation and Training, as necessary.
• Knowledge of intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Shift: Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM.
• Fully Remote - Training will be in-person for 3 weeks at Tampa, FL office.

• Participates in staff meetings, department meetings, in-services, and other related activities.
• Creates daily triage reports and emails respective individuals regarding new patient admissions and referral outcomes.
• Obtains consents or provides information to patients’ family members visiting the facilities as needed.
• Provides telephonic support to patient referral sources to initiate patient admission.

Job Description
