Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN, seeks an administrative professional to perform clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account tasks in a busy outpatient setting.

The role supports coordination of primary healthcare services, manages referrals and faxes, verifies eligibility, and ensures accurate handling of patient information for physician offices and members.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous training in general medical office skills and procedures.
• Proficient and knowledgeable of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account functions.
• Assists in coordinating primary healthcare services to a large outpatient client population.
• Retrieves, reviews and assigns and/or distributes all referrals/faxes.
• Verifies eligibility and status of referrals when appropriate for the physician office and/or member.

JOB SUMMARY
