About the Role
The Referral Response Coordinator is responsible for responding to potential organ donation cases to help evaluate the patient’s status and suitability for donation. They travel to a variety of hospitals as the case load requires and works with onsite clinical teams to gather information pertinent for the timely evaluation of organ donation potential by senior team members. This position has responsibilities for facilitating the beginning of an organ donation case according to OPTN and Indiana Donor Network guidelines, policies and regulations. Responsibilities include:
Shift and Territory Information
This position will cover a large geographic area, primarily in central Indiana. It is a day shift position. The hours are from 7 am to 7 pm. The days of the shifts rotate, and would include 4 12‑hour shifts one week, and 3 12‑hour shifts the next.
Who We’re Looking For
A bachelor's degree in a clinical area, such as nursing, respiratory therapy, or another related area is preferred. Previous exposure to a critical care delivery setting is strongly preferred. Professional experience in the donation community is preferred. Must have current BLS or obtain within 6 months. Desired knowledge, skills and abilities include:
