Job summary

Asante is seeking a Referral Representative to expedite patient referrals and liaise with health plans to ensure correct insurance payments. The role includes incidental duties in charge entry and statistical tracking.

We offer a full-time schedule (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM) with starting wages between $21.84 and $30.03 per hour, depending on experience. Strong communication and office-software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in healthcare, insurance, or workers' comp with insurance authorization, referral processes, and coding.
• Experience with office technology and MS Windows.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• CEC: Claims Examiner Certification preferred.

Position Summary

TheReferral Representativeexpedites the administrative requirements for patient referrals, deals directly with health plans, and ensures proper insurance payment for services. The position will also perform incidental tasks related to charge entry and statistical tracking.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or a workers' compensation setting involving insurance authorization, referral processes, and coding is required
• Experience in office technology is required
• Experience with computers such as PC and MS Windows is required
• High SchoolDiploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position is required
• Associate's Degree- preferred
• CEC: Claims Examiner Certification- preferred
