Job summary

Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Referral Intake Specialist-ORC to review and analyze patient referrals for preauthorization, concurrent review and case management across outpatient and inpatient settings. You will obtain benefits and eligibility, schedule appointments, educate staff and the community, and work with referral sources to maintain timely communications.

Spanish language skills are preferred and travel to providers may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of call center experience in a customer service, sales environment, or clinical experience required.
• Minimum three years of experience in healthcare customer service call center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient referrals for preauthorization and concurrent review.
• Educate staff, physicians and the community about services offered.
• Coordinate with internal and external referral sources by traveling to providers and performing daily distribution/pick up.
• Maintain consistent communication between Rehabilitation Services and referring specialties, providing updates.
