Pay Range
USD $19.60 - USD $23.06 /Hr.

Overview
Due to growth, we are adding a Referral Coordinator to our Sales & Sales Support department.
The Referral Coordinator will assist in processing all inbound specialty prescriptions from referring prescribers. They are tasked with coordinating and assuring the smooth flow of the prescription referral and prior authorization process to meet the needs of patients while establishing collaborative relationships and communication with the prescriber’s office.
Responsibilities
- Initiate prescription prior authorizations on behalf of prescriber’s offices
- Coordinate and confirm with patients’ prescription deliveries
- Initiate contact and create new potential clinic/prescriber relationships
- Communicate current and relevant prescription, insurance and financial needs as they relate to appropriate pharmacists, providers, clinical support staff and patients
- Interact with clinic employees, including pharmacists, clinical staff, fiscal personnel, department managers, access services staff, coding staff, and billing assistants. External contacts include third-party payers, manufacturers, prescription benefit management companies, external pharmacy personnel, and referring providers and their support staff
- Act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards
- Serve as the liaison between the medical staff, outpatient pharmacies, insurance providers, and patients to improve communication and continuity of care
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, some college preferred
- Certified CPhT or licensed Medical Assistant preferred
- One year experience in specialty pharmacy or medical office preferred
- Support compliance program objectives
- Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
