Qualifications

About ECU Health Physicians

ECU Health Physicians is a multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.

Position Summary

The Referral Coordinator must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to coordinate operations of the referral processes, including, but not limited to pre-certifications and scheduling appointments. Coordinate operations and processes of the Centralized Referral Office. Office equipment operation and additional duties as required by practice manager.

Minimum Requirements

  1. High School or higher plus 1-2 years formal training/education is required.
  2. Must possess CPT and ICD-9/10 coding knowledge.
  3. Must know medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  4. 1-3 years related work experience.
  5. Must possess computer skills, with Excel and Word knowledge/experience.
  6. Medical Office experience is preferred.

Other Information

Full-time with benefits - 40 hours per week, Day shift.
