Job summary

Integrated Home Care Services, Inc. is seeking a Referral Coordinator to manage the intake of healthcare service orders and to serve as the liaison between patients, our team, and health plans.

You will verify patient information and insurance, process authorizations and referrals, and handle documentation with EMR/EHR systems. Responsibilities include obtaining and releasing clinical records, responding to health plan inquiries, and researching or escalating patient accounts as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of intake referrals experience within Home Health.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake of healthcare service orders and liaison between our company, patients and health plans.
• Verify patient information and insurance; process authorizations/referrals.
• Obtain and release clinical documentation; respond to health plan inquiries.
• Research and resolve patient accounts, or escalate when needed.

What will you be doing:

As a Referral Coordinator, you handle the intake process of the order for healthcare services; liaison between our company and our patients and health plans; verify patient information, insurance verification, authorization/referral processing, obtaining and releasing clinical documentation, responds to health plan inquiries, and research and resolve patient accounts, or escalate for resolution.

What will you need to succeed:

• 2+ years of intake referrals experience within Home Health
• Effective verbal and written communication skill
• Ability to use various computer programs and applications, IE EMR/EHR
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
• Certification a plus
