Position Summary

1st Choice Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Referral Coordinator to support patient care at our Paragould clinic. The Referral Coordinator is an integral member of the care team and is responsible for coordinating patient referrals to specialists, diagnostic facilities, and other healthcare providers. This role ensures accurate patient demographic and insurance information, obtains required pre-authorizations, and tracks referrals to support timely appointments and continuity of care. The Referral Coordinator must demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and maintain strict confidentiality while working with sensitive patient information. A professional appearance and demeanor are expected when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and clinic staff.
