Job summary

Abrazo Biltmore Cardiology Casa Grande is seeking a non-exempt medical office professional to manage referrals for the market. You will process referrals, coordinate patient scheduling, and assist with insurance resources.

Experience in medical insurance/healthcare and HIPAA compliance adherence are valued. This role supports the Abrazo Cardiology team in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year direct patient experience in a medical insurance or healthcare related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process patient referrals for the practices in the market.
• Coordinate scheduling of office visits for referred patients.
• Assist patients with finding resources that accept various insurances.
• Obtain pre-authorizations from payers and call insurers to confirm approvals.
• Log daily to the system and update patient charts as needed.
• Set up referring providers, payers and chart mergers in the Electronic System.

Job Summary

Abrazo Biltmore Cardiology Casa Grande

A non-exempt medical office position responsible for all referrals for the medical offices in the market

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
• Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
• Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Process patient referrals for the practices in the market
• Facilitates orders outside to outside facilities.
• Coordinate scheduling of office visits for the referred patient
• Assist patient with finding resources that accept the various insurances
• Obtains pre-authorization from payers.Calls insurance companies to get medications approved that may have been denied due to formulary changes.
• Logs in daily to system to check status of patient not mapped correctly and updates patient charts
• Set up referring providers, payers and chart mergers in the Electronic System.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge

Experience: One year direct patient experience in a medical insurance or healthcare related industry.
