Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a health care setting is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to communicate physician’s orders to other health care providers.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism with confidentiality.
• Familiarity with PC-based computing including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all outgoing referrals of PartnerMD patients.
• Obtain necessary insurance carrier authorization for specialty care services.
• Schedule appointments and follow up reporting for referrals to outside specialists and services.
• Maintain a tracking system and follow up on obtaining reports for all outside referrals.
• Communicate with patients and clinical staff throughout the referral process.
• Assist front desk and respond to patient inquiries in a timely fashion.
