Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator to schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with specialists outside the primary care physician's office. This onsite position ensures smooth coordination with patients and referring providers.

The role involves coordinating information and preparation instructions, supports TB screening initiatives, and requires strong professional communication skills within Humana's Primary Care Organization

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent professional communication abilities at all levels within the organization and with patients.
• Role includes TB screening program participation.

Become a part of our caring community As a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator, you will schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with specialists and providers outside of the primary care physician's office. This is an onsite position.

The Referral and Scheduling Coordinator gathers and communicates all relative information and preparation instructions to patient and referring providers.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficient with medical terminology
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Excellent professional communication abilities, at all levels within the organization and with patients.
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding
• Medical Assistant or Professional State Certifications related to healthcare

Additional Information

This position requires phone-based duties approximately 80% of the time

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$39,000 - $49,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
