Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Fairhope, Alabama. The role involves preparing specimens, handling inquiries, and supporting test processing in a busy laboratory environment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and exposure to laboratory work. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and within a team are essential; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens; accurate specimen identification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results.
• Assist clients with specimen-related requests or inquiries.
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
