Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Dothan, AL. This role focuses on accessioning, data entry, and processing of clinical specimens in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–8:00pm with a half-hour lunch. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; preferred experience in lab, production, or warehouse environments. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and pass a color blindness test is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• 1 year or more of medical or production experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
