Job summary

Ohlone College invites applications for a pool of qualified candidates to teach Library Science on a part-time basis at the Fremont Campus, Newark Center, and via eCampus. Assignments may be day, evening, weekend, in-person, online, or hybrid, and are posted to build a standing pool for as-needed teaching; applications are accepted year-round and kept for two years.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for teaching, student engagement, and commitment to diversity.

Qualifications

• Master's in Library Science or equivalent; commitment to equity and diverse students.
• Evidence of equity-minded practices and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Experience engaging students and fostering inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach Library Science following course outlines.
• Assess student work with clear criteria and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain records (grades, syllabi, attendance) and ensure deadlines.
