Reeves Construction Company, a subsidiary of Colas USA, is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator in Brunswick, GA.

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of machine mechanics and hydraulics.
• Conduct inspection checklists on equipment (lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water).
  Ensure equipment is serviced, lubricated, and maintained in good working order, including good housekeeping.
• Operate control levers for bucket movement and vehicle safely at job sites.
• Prioritize safety and welfare of workers during trench and pipelaying operations.
• Understand different soil types relevant to operation.
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Application of common sense and problem‑solving skills in standardized situations.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Climb onto and off machine several times daily.
• Sit in machine and operate it for extended periods.
• Withstand vibration, noise, and repetitive hand, arm, and foot motions.
• Perform manual duties such as moving paint drums; lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Maintain 20/40 vision and good hearing; corrective lenses acceptable.

Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, moist or humid conditions, and high noise levels.
