Job summary

Reeves Construction Company, a Colas USA subsidiary, is seeking an experienced CDL A Dump Trailer Driver based in Duncan, SC. The successful candidate will demonstrate an uncompromising focus on safety and operate heavy equipment with reliability.

You will transport sand, gravel, and paving materials, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and manage DOT paperwork. Shifts may include days, nights, and some Saturdays. Competitive pay and extensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL (no endorsements required).
• Able to drive manual transmission.
• Day and/or night shift availability.
• May work Saturdays as needed.
• Meets DOT CDL requirements including DOT physical.

Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an experienced CDL A Dump Trailer Driver based out of Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Main Responsibilities

• Must operate a truck equipped with a dump trailer to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, and bituminous paving materials.
• Must have skills to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklist on equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Must be able to handle paperwork concerning Department of Transportation regulations, freight weigh bills, fuel tickets and load tickets.
• Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, take directions to job sites, but also must be able to use good judgement in decision-making and be able to work without direct supervision
• Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months previous driving experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (No endorsements are required).
• Able to drive manual transmission (requirement).
• Must be able to work days and/or nights.
• Must be able to work some Saturdays (as needed).
• Must meet all DOT requirements for CDL drivers, including the DOT physical exam.
