Job summary

The New York City Department of Correction (DOC) seeks a Program Coordinator in the Division of Programs and Community Partnerships to coordinate re-entry programming delivered by nonprofit partners and DOC staff. Duties include providing group and individual services to incarcerated individuals, and tracking attendance and performance.

The position may work at Outpost Facilities such as Bellevue Hospital and may split time between sites as they become operational.

Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related duties.
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of related experience in community work or related duties.
  • Equivalent combination of education/experience with at least one year of experience as described in point 1.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate re-entry programming delivered by nonprofit partners and DOC staff.
  • Provide group and individual services to incarcerated individuals.
  • Track program attendance and performance against targets.
  • Develop partnerships with service providers to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Prepare reports and documentation; manage multiple projects simultaneously.
