Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Reentry Coordinator to lead the Prison Outreach program in Prince George's County, MD. You will recruit, train, and mentor volunteers who support returning citizens and coordinate with probation, parole, and community partners to enable successful reintegration.

Responsibilities include matching mentors to mentees, guiding applicants, and maintaining documentation, with a 30-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, human services or related field.
• Experience with corrections and returning citizens preferred.
• Ability to recruit, train, and support volunteers.
• Background clearances to work in local correction facilities.

Responsibilities

• Match mentors to mentees through recruitment, screening and placement.
• Educate agencies and participants about the Prison Outreach program.
• Assist mentees with applications, interviews, and goal setting.
• Coordinate with corrections and service providers to identify mentees.
• Recruit, train, and support community mentors.
• Maintain program records and background checks.
• Facilitate mentor-mentee groups and community outreach.
