Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington seeks a Reentry Coordinator for the Prison Outreach program in Prince Georges County, MD. You will recruit and train mentors, work with probation and parole, and coordinate with community organizations to support returning citizens reintegrating into the community.

The role emphasizes collaboration with state and local agencies, volunteers, and faith communities, advancing outcomes through structured mentoring and resource linkage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, human services or related field.
• 2 years' experience working in corrections and/or with incarcerated and Returning Citizens.
• Experience recruiting, training, managing, and supporting volunteers and/or facilitating mentor/mentee relationships.
• Possess security and background clearances to work in local correction facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of the Prison Outreach program in Prince Georges County, working with probation and parole, Reentry Court, inmates and community partners.
• Recruit, train, and engage volunteer mentors who support participants during reentry.
• Educate agencies and program participants about the Prison Outreach program and facilitate mentor-mentee matching.
• Maintain data, produce reports, and ensure required documentation and background checks are completed and up to date.
• Foster relationships with faith communities and other organizations to recruit mentors and publicize the program.
