The Department of Corrections, Division of Health & Rehabilitation Services, seeks a Mental Health Clinician 3 in the Anchorage area to supervise reentry services and coordinate support for inmates transitioning back into the community.

The role emphasizes leadership of a team of clinicians, collaboration with probation and community agencies, and adherence to an evidence-based, multidisciplinary care approach in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree or Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field.
• Progressively responsible professional experience performing psychotherapeutic casework.
• “Progressively responsible” indicates growth and increasing responsibilities in complexity.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and oversee IDP+ and APIC programs for mentally ill inmates releasing to the community.
• Coordinate case management of referrals, determine eligibility, consult on cases, identify resources, and work with community partners.
• Collaborate with institutional clinicians, probation officers, guardians, attorneys, and Mental Health Courts to secure the best release outcomes.
