Job summary

The State of Alaska, Department of Corrections, Division of Health & Rehabilitation Services, invites applications for a Mental Health Clinician 3 based at the Anchorage Probation Office. Qualifications

• Doctoral degree OR Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field.
• Equivalent to progressively responsible professional experience performing psychotherapeutic casework.
• Some positions require licensed credential (e.g., Clinical Social Worker or LPC) as noted.
• Competencies emphasize accountability, developing others, managing HR, and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee IDP+ and APIC programs for inmates transitioning to the community.
• Coordinate case management of program referrals, eligibility, and resources with community partners.
• Collaborate with institutional staff, probation officers, guardians, attorneys, and Mental Health Courts to secure release outcomes.
