Job summary

Johnson County Community College is seeking a KDOC Adult Education Navigator to support incarcerated and returning citizens in accessing education, vocational training, and postsecondary opportunities. This full-time, onsite role coordinates with KDOC and community partners to ensure continuous services during reintegration.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in adult education or reentry, with travel flexibility and ability to lift 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social services, criminal justice, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in adult education, reentry services, case management, or related work.
• Ability to travel occasionally and flexible scheduling.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Must pass a KDOC background check and work onsite at Lansing Correctional Facility.

Responsibilities

• Supports incarcerated and returning citizens in transitioning to community-based education, vocational training, and postsecondary opportunities.
• Coordinates with KDOC staff and community partners to ensure continuity of services after release.
• Assists students with enrollment, transcripts, and confidentiality of records.
