Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Loads & Dynamics Engineer for the Starfall program. You will build finite element models, run coupled loads analyses, and own dynamic event analysis with in-house software and flight data correlation.

The role requires a bachelor’s in aerospace/physics/engineering and 1+ years with CAD/FEA and dynamic analysis. Preferred are a master’s in an engineering field, Python/Matlab skills, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, physics, or an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of CAD and FEA experience.
• 1+ years of dynamic analysis experience.
• Masters preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Build finite element models and run coupled loads analysis.
• Perform analyses such as spacecraft separation and fatigue analysis.
• Execute dynamic testing from start to finish with pre-test analysis, sensor selection/installation, testing, and correlation.
• Own dynamic event analysis by developing in-house programs and correlating with flight data.
