To be considered for the position, you must meet the basic requirements including appropriate behavioral or social science education or equivalent experience, and graduate education or work experience at GS-9/11 levels.

Qualifications

• Graduate education must have been in corrections or a related field, such as criminal justice, sociology, psychology, counseling, social work, or other course work related to the position.
• Experience must have been gained in casework in a correctional institution or in another criminal justice setting; counseling with diagnostic or treatment planning skills; or work with social rehabilitation.
• Combinations of graduate education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements for GL-09 and GS-11.

Education

Graduate education requirements (master's level or higher) in corrections/related field

24 semester hours in behavioral or social sciences
