Job summary

The State of Indiana is hiring a Correctional Caseworker at Madison Correctional Facility in Madison, Indiana. You will coordinate case management, assist in creating case plans, and support release and re-entry processes for incarcerated individuals.

The starting salary is $42,900 and may reflect education and experience. A Compensation Calculator is available to view the total package and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HSE required or equivalent experience.
• Within 90 days, obtain Indiana Risk Assessment System Certification.
• Complete mandatory training including the DOC Training Program, Case management training, First Aid, and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on job assignments, housing changes, transfers, and facility procedures.
• Liaise with courts, employers, community, and agencies for job development and release planning.
• Assess offenders' risk/needs using IRAS and create tailored case plans.
• Document interactions and progress during incarceration.
• Coordinate with staff on re-entry and release issues.
