Role Description

The REELS/CLIPS EDITOR is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Louis, MO, responsible for turning long-form show recordings into compelling short-form video content optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing raw footage, selecting standout moments, editing clips, adding captions, graphics, and basic sound design, and formatting content to meet platform-specific requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with hosts and producers to align clips with the show’s tone, brand, and content strategy, while maintaining a consistent posting cadence. The editor will organize media assets, manage timelines, and may assist in brainstorming concepts for new recurring segments and series.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in short-form video editing for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.


• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and comedic or dramatic timing, with the ability to identify engaging moments and craft them into shareable clips.


• Experience adding captions, titles, overlays, and basic motion graphics to enhance viewer engagement and accessibility.


• Understanding of social media trends, best practices, and platform-specific formats, including vertical video, aspect ratios, and optimal clip length.


• Ability to work on-site in St. Louis, MO, collaborate with a small production team, and adapt quickly to feedback and evolving content needs.
