Job Description

EXPERIENCED REEFER TRAILER MECHANIC WANTED

Daybreak Express was established in 1980 and continues to grow while other companies are no longer in business. We stay busy, and you will never be left without work at our company.

We currently operate a fleet of about 200 trucks, hundreds of 53' trailers and reefers, as well as numerous 20' and 40' chassis with Genset reefers.

• Assist other mechanics in diagnosing failures and performing correct repairs.
• Maintain the local terminal's fleet of trucks, trailers, and chassis.
• Provide work orders and invoices daily to the maintenance department.
• Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs on dry van and reefer trailers, chassis, and reefer gensets.
• Operate specialized equipment, including hand and power tools, shop machines, and measuring devices for inspections, adjustments, repairs, or maintenance.
• Use diagnostic tools and computer software for troubleshooting heavy-duty braking and electrical systems on trailers and chassis.
• Utilize service information from sources like shop manuals, internet, and industry bulletins.
