Sonsray in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a skilled Shop Reefer Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration systems, including Thermo King and Carrier units, on trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The role requires hands-on work in a fast-paced shop and a strong commitment to safety and service.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on experience with transport refrigeration systems, diagnostic tools, and a focus on quality repairs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years diagnosing and repairing Thermo King, Carrier, APUs, gensets, and V-series units.
• Skilled with diagnostic tools, scanners, and multi-meters.
• Knowledge of freon systems, leak detection, soldering, and refrigeration component replacement.
• EPA 608/609 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration systems on trucks, trailers, APUs, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and installation of Thermo King units.
• Document services and prepare estimates.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
