Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Reefer Technician/Mechanic in Windsor, CT to keep trailer refrigeration systems running reliably. You’ll diagnose and repair diesel-powered reefer units, perform PMs, and ensure safety/compliance while delivering timely service for a growing nationwide fleet.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on experience with reefer units and trailer refrigeration systems.
Strong knowledge of diesel-powered refrigeration, PMs, and A/C systems.
EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to manage your own toolkit.

Responsibilities

Perform timely repairs and maintenance on reefer units and diesel refrigeration systems.
Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues on trailer reefer units.
Complete preventive maintenance and service on A/C and refrigeration systems.
Conduct DOT inspections and trailer repairs when units are operable.
Ensure safety/compliance standards are met and document work orders.
