• This position requires experience with Thermo King or Carrier refrigeration units.
• As a Reefer Mechanic, you will perform all levels of maintenance services, focusing on refrigeration units such as Thermo King commercial refrigeration equipment for trucks and trailers.
• Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment.
• Read complex schematics related to refrigeration equipment.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document orders.
• Support preventative maintenance and tractor trailer maintenance as needed.
• Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
• Perform system repairs including engines, hydraulic systems, tires, electrical, and A/C.
• This is a 2nd shift position, Wednesday through Saturday.

Reefer Mechanic / Technician Requirements:

• Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or at least 3 years of related experience
• Experience as a reefer or Thermo King / Carrier mechanic
• Specialized training in overhaul of refrigeration components
• CDL license (preferred)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of hydraulics
• Own tools
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
