Job summary

NIS Express in Lufkin, TX is seeking CDL-A drivers to haul refrigerated freight on Texas-to-destination lanes. Expect weekly miles of 1,800–2,000 with a sliding pay scale averaging $1,300–$1,500 per week. New drivers receive $850 weekly training pay for 4–6 weeks before transitioning to solo pay.

Lufkin, want to haul reefer out of Texas with pay that climbs as you gain experience? This fleet trains new CDL holders and keeps the lanes predictable.

Pay Breakdown

• $1,300 to $1,500 average weekly gross on a sliding pay scale
• $1,000 weekly guaranteed pay for your first 3 months after solo dispatch
• $25 stop pay plus $25 for the first extra stop
• 1,800 to 2,000 miles a week

The Lanes

• Texas to Tennessee, Texas to Illinois, Texas to Georgia
• Refrigerated freight, drop and hook plus live loads and unloads
• Home every 2 weeks depending on location, 34 hour restarts

New to Driving?

• New CDL-A holders are welcome to apply
• 4 to 6 weeks over the road with an experienced trainer
• $850 weekly training pay, then straight to full solo driver pay
• Must have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
• Trainees welcome, no prior experience needed: just a valid Class A CDL and 120+ hours of CDL training
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
• Military experience considered with a valid DD214
• Valid license in your current state of residence and verifiable work history for the past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years, no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing
