Job summary

A technology services firm is seeking a skilled Redis Administrator to manage and optimize their Redis infrastructure. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining Redis clusters, as well as implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Redis, performance tuning, and monitoring tools. Additional requirements include knowledge of cloud environments like AWS and Azure, along with some familiarity with Kubernetes. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and security of Redis operations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Redis including standalone, clustered and sentinel architectures.
• Solid understanding of caching strategies, memory management, eviction policies, persistence modes (RDB, AOF).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Redis server instances, clusters, and sentinel setups.
• Manage Redis high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Monitor Redis performance and proactively resolve latency, memory and throughput issues.
• Optimize Redis configuration parameters for caching, persistence and data eviction policies.
• Implement and maintain Redis security including TLS authentication and access control.
• Perform backup, restore and data migration operations.
