Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. You will assist physicians with patient care, perform clerical duties, collect specimens and process tests, and help with rooming patients and taking vitals.

The role requires CMA certification or CMA coursework, BLS/ACLS, and a valid driver's license. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred; strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Health Sciences program or CMA certificate/license.
• Current BLS, PEARS/ACLS certifications and valid driver's license.
• CMA certificate/license required; phlebotomy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient care and perform clerical tasks.
• Collect, process routine testing and return results to the doctor.
• Room patients, take vitals and history, answer phones and check in/out.
• Handle basic coding/billing tasks and manage medical records.

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team!

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting physician with patient care, clerical and clinical. Convey a positive image of the clinic. Collect, process routine testing, and returning results back to doctor. Provide good customer service on the phone, patients, doctors and other medical staff. Work well under pressure and prioritize. Perform CLIA waived moderate testing. Patient referrals, pulling charts, filing, cleaning/wrapping instruments, stocking rooms, reconcile labs, rooming patients taking vitals and history. Answering telephones, reviewing, and assigning faxes. Healthy connection referrals/eligibility, collection calls, prior authorizations, checking patients in/out at the front desk collecting pertinent information. Collecting and processing payments, scanning and discharging, answering phones, posting charges, some coding/billing, medical records, blood draws and giving injections.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: Graduation from an accredited Health Sciences program or higher. Current BLS, PEARS/ACLS, Certification. Valid driver’s license. Drug screen/breath alcohol certified. Valid CMA certificate/license. Drug screen/breath alcohol certified.

Experience

CMA course preferred but not required. Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy experience. IV certification preferred.
