Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. This role supports physicians with patient care, front desk duties, and basic clerical tasks, ensuring a friendly, efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities include assisting with testing, vitals, patient history, phlebotomy, injections, and basic coding/billing support. A Health Sciences background and BLS/ACLS PEARS certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Health Sciences program or higher.
• Current BLS, PEARS/ACLS, Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Drug screen/breath alcohol certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient care and clinical tasks.

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a MA to join our team!

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting physician with patient care, clerical and clinical. Convey a positive image of the clinic. Collect, process routine testing, and returning results back to doctor. Provide good customer service on the phone, patients, doctors and other medical staff. Work well under pressure and prioritize. Perform CLIA waived moderate testing. Patient referrals, pulling charts, filing, cleaning/wrapping instruments, stocking rooms, reconcile labs, rooming patients taking vitals and history. Answering telephones, reviewing, and assigning faxes. Healthy connection referrals/eligibility, collection calls, prior authorizations, checking patients in/out at the front desk collecting pertinent information. Collecting and processing payments, scanning and discharging, answering phones, posting charges, some coding/billing, medical records, blood draws and giving injections.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

Graduation from an accredited Health Sciences program or higher. Current BLS, PEARS/ACLS, Certification. Valid driver’s license. Drug screen/breath alcohol certified. Drug screen/breath alcohol certified.

Experience

CMA course preferred but not required. Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy experience. IV certification preferred.

Equipment/Technology

Basic computer and typing skills. Operate vital sign monitoring devices and manual BP equipment.

Language/Communication

The ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Bilingual is a plus. Must understand medical terminology.
