Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to conduct penetration tests and offensive security operations for DoD systems. You will work with Blue Team and Cybersecurity professionals to enhance the overall cyber posture.

Role requires active security clearance with strong skills in Linux, Windows, and modern pentest tooling; experience across cloud security and identity providers is a plus. Funding anticipated December 2026.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience in software engineering applied to program development; modeling and simulation applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Linux with firm grasp; Windows with enterprise network understanding.
• Strong knowledge of pen-testing tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike.
• Experience in Penetration Testing, Red Team Operations, or security tooling development (exploits/malware, C2, reverse engineering, bug bounties).
• Programming in Python, C, C++, Go, Perl, PowerShell.
• Web development, web app security, REST/SOAP, OAuth2/SAML/LDAP.
• Experience with NSX, vCenter, vRealize, Horizon View; Entra ID/Azure AD hybrids.
• AWS, cloud auditing, serverless, microservices security; RESTful/SOAP web services testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing and offensive security operations for DoD/US Government systems.
• Collaborate with Blue Team and cybersecurity staff to improve posture.
• Document findings and support remediation with clear technical guidance.
