Job summary

EY is seeking an Active Defense Analyst with a strong information security background to emulate adversaries and improve security operations. You will validate detections, remediate gaps, and communicate technical findings to diverse audiences within a hybrid work model in the United States.

The role requires deep knowledge of offensive security techniques, threat hunting, and collaboration across teams to strengthen EY’s enterprise security capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Red Teaming, Purple Teaming, Offensive Security Operations, Exploit Development, Penetration Testing, Security Research, or similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct attack simulations against Windows or Linux operating systems using advanced cyber-attack vectors and TTPs.
• Research patterns consistent with attacker methodologies and report security concerns.
• Work across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Develop and operationalize AI capabilities to enhance adversary emulation and security automation.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders via reports and briefings.
• Maintain and improve security testing processes, procedures and documentation.
• Identify gaps in defender coverage and improve response capabilities.
