Job summary

Bart & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Red Team Infrastructure - SME to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. This hybrid role requires one day on-site in Washington DC.

The candidate will lead and execute infra development, deployment, and security for red team operations, including AD lab environments, security patches, and VPN maintenance. A CRTO or similar certification within 90 days is required, with OSCP/OSCE preferred.

Qualifications

• High school degree and minimum 4 years hands‑on network and systems administration experience.
• Minimum 2 years direct hands‑on red team and/or government computer network exploitation/attack operations.
• Minimum 2 years red team operations leadership experience (distinct from above).
• Minimum 2 years experience with modifying and customizing penetration testing and red team software frameworks (Cobalt Strike, Kali, etc.).
• Minimum 2 years independently conducting every phase of a red team exercise.
• Minimum 2 years developing payloads that bypass AV/EDR.
• Minimum 2 years mentoring junior operators on red team tradecraft and Advanced Knowledge Requirements.
• Minimum 2 years delivering technical red team reports and briefings.
• CRTO certification within 90 days of start; OSCP/OSCE/OSEE/GXPN/GPEN preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Developing, automating, and deploying red team exercise infrastructure including Ubiquiti, Proxmox, Kubernetes and Ansible, Apache/NGINX, and GOCD for CI/CD.
• Deploying, configuring, and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Securing red team infrastructure from unauthorized access.
• Securing red team infrastructure against DCO identification and fingerprinting TTPs.
• Creating and administering Active Directory lab environments.
• Managing directory service objects (users, groups, computers, OUs).
• Installing Windows and Linux OSes on lab systems and drivers.
• Managing security patches and policies across the lab.
• Maintaining VPN access infrastructure.
