Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Kettle Coordinator to run the Red Kettle Campaign, coordinating volunteers, scheduling bell ringing, and handling deposits. The role supports community outreach and requires communication by phone or email with volunteers.

Drivers license is required. Responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, organizing dates/locations, transferring funds, and reporting deposits weekly during the campaign period (11/02/26–12/31/26).

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service or sales role.
• Valid driver’s license with approval to drive from TSA’s insurance carrier required.
• Proactive, organized and able to recruit and coordinate volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and signing up volunteer bell ringers & groups and establishing dates, times and locations
• Contacting via phone or email volunteer bell ringers to schedule ringing times
• Responsible for sorting kettle money with volunteers per applicable guidelines
• Responsible for transferring money to bank for processing per applicable guidelines
• Drop off and pick up kettles
• Promote bell ringing opportunities in the community
• Make copies of checks dropped in kettles and get them to Field Rep
• Weekly report to Field Rep of deposits made (every Monday or Tuesday)
• Responsible for calling established bell ringing sites the first week of November to ask permission to ring & start date and discuss any concerns the managers may have (Field Rep will contact Walmart stores)
